Why we use cookies

Cookies are very useful and perform various functions that make your browsing on the website easy and pleasant. You could say they're like "memories" the site keeps about you, helping it remember how you've navigated its pages and the choices you've made along the way.

You can navigate more easily and quickly on a site that remembers you than on one that doesn't. That's why most of the sites you know and love use cookies.

What's in a cookie?

A cookie is a simple piece of information in the form of a very small text file. Each individual cookie is unique and consists of the name of the site that created it and a unique string of numbers and letters.

Most websites place cookies on the hard drive of your device (computer, mobile phone or tablet) when you browse a web page. This is possible from the browser – for example Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox. A cookie can only be read and retrieved by the site that created it. Sites can never exchange information with each other through cookies.

Some cookies are only valid for the duration of your visit. These "session cookies" disappear from your computer or mobile device after you close your browser. Other cookies remain on your computer or mobile device after you close your browser and are valid for a certain period of time. These "persistent cookies" are activated each time you visit the site that generated them.

What's not in a cookie?

Cookies (as independent elements) do NOT contain:

  • Personal information – you cannot be personally identified based on a cookie alone.
  • Program code – unlike a computer virus, a cookie is not composed of code, meaning it is not capable of damaging your device.

For what purposes do we use cookies?

A visit to this site may place the following types of cookies:

  • cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the site
  • cookies for analyzing the behavior of website visitors
  • cookies for personalized advertising

Necessary cookies

First, they may be necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the website. For example, cookies can be used to ensure the security of the site and visitors by preventing cross-site spoofing. This category of cookies is active automatically, not subject to the consent of the visitor.

We have also included here the cookies placed to show you non-personalized advertising (which remember the fact that an advertisement has been displayed), as well as those that measure our audience on the site (but without including the demographic or audience segmentation component), since without traffic measurement our site cannot be profitable, and the rules for protecting private life do not aim to block the display of advertising.

Analysis cookies

Analytics cookies collect information about how visitors use a website, such as which pages are most popular, which method of connecting pages is most effective, and whether users receive error messages from websites. These cookies allow us to provide users with a high-quality user experience and help improve the way our website works, as well as demographic segmentation of the audience, which is further used to personalize advertising if this purpose is permitted.

Last but not least, when we integrate social network plugins into the site, they place social media cookies to enable the playback of content (e.g. youtube), to enable you to log in using a third-party service (e.g. Facebook or Google), as well as to enable you to like or share a page or product on your preferred social media service.

Cookies for personalized advertising

We also use cookies to enable personalization of online advertising. The use of advertising personalization cookies is a current standard of most major websites you visit. Advertising of this type helps us to reach the categories of customers interested in a certain type of product, to whom the respective advertisements are displayed. As a rule, the information about the categories that define the range of interested users is not personal data, but the profile that is created about the visitors is based on the data collected through advertising profiling cookies, it falls under the category of personal data. As these cookies are placed by third parties with our consent, it follows that profiling (which is a processing of personal data) through these cookies is carried out by us as a data controller. You can opt out of being profiled by Google for advertising purposes by accessing https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

www.travelfuse.ro will by default only use cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the site, the other categories of cookies can only be used with your consent.

Non-essential cookies

We use the following types of non-essential cookies on our website:
• Analytical (or performance) cookies
• Targeting (or advertising) cookies

Cookies that can be blocked from the browser

Most browsers are set to accept cookies. But if you do not want this, you can set your browser either to notify you whenever you receive a cookie, or to refuse to accept cookies.

However, you should be aware that some sections of our website will not be able to be viewed normally if you have set your browser to reject all cookies. This does not happen on purpose, but because some functions of our website cannot function properly without the use of cookies.

Information and instructions on how to edit this function can be obtained depending on your browser provider:

Mozilla Firefox І Internet Explorer І Google Chrome І   Opera І Safari

Third Party Cookies

Third-party cookies (also known as tracking cookies or trackers) are created by "third parties" other than the website the user is currently visiting for the purpose of providing advertising services , retargeting, analytics and tracking. Basically, third-party cookies are set by advertising networks that a site may subscribe to in hopes of increasing sales or page views.

Pixel time cookies placed by Facebook, LinkedIn and Google are among the most used third-party cookies.

Double Click

Google Ads (Double Click) is a provider of advertising and marketing services. DoubleClick is a service of Google LLC. DoubleClick uses cookies to show you relevant advertising. A pseudonymous identification number (ID) is assigned to your browser to verify which ads have been displayed in your browser and which ads have been downloaded. The use of DoubleClick cookies exclusively allows Google and its partner sites to serve ads based on previous visits to our other sites. The information generated by the cookie will be transmitted to and stored on servers in the United States by Google for analysis.

The placement of these types of cookies is only possible with your consent. However, you can object to or prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of websites, as well as processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser plugin to retain your opt-out preference for personalized ads.

Facebook pixel

It's an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by understanding the actions people take on your website. The Facebook pixel is used to ensure that our advertising is shown to the right people, to increase the number of sales and to measure the results of our advertising.

Social plugins

We have integrated the following social network plugins on our website, which may independently set cookies on your computer:

  • Facebook

Please note that we have no control over how the information collected through these cookies is used, nor do we have access to it. However, we are responsible together with the social networks for these processings, in accordance with European policies.

The plugin provider stores the data it collects as user profiles and uses it for the purpose of advertising, market research and/or needs-based design of its website. Such an analysis takes place in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to display needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your opinion of the products in our store. Through these plugins, we give you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users so that we can improve our offer and design our website of more interest to you. If you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser makes a direct connection to the respective provider's servers.

The content of the plugin is transmitted by the respective provider directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, the provider receives information that you have accessed on the web page of our site, even if you do not have a user account with the provider in question or are not logged in to the service in question. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a server of the provider in question (probably located in the USA), stored there as a user profile and, among other things, used for advertising, research market and supplier website design.

If, during your visit to our website, you are logged in to your user account with Facebook, the respective provider may also associate your visit to the website with your user account.

If you do not want the plug-in provider to associate your user profile, you can select the "Deactivate third-party cookie" function in your browser settings. Thus, your browser no longer sends cookies to the special server of the social network.

More information about how social networks use your data collected through plugins can be found here:

FacebookPolicy of data use

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you in the manner and for the purposes stated above.
